50th anniversary for Centre for Science Studies

The Department for the History of the Eaxct Sciences were established 50 years ago

In 1965 Professor Olaf Pedersen established the Department for the History of the Exact Sciences. Pedersen became the first professor in history of science at Aarhus University.

In 1990 the department removed "Exact" from its name, and it later became the Centre for Science Studies.

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the Centre for Science Studies will organize a public symposium on Thursday 19 november 2015 in the afternoon followed by a reception at the Steno Museum.

The event will take place on Thursday 19 November from 2-7 pm in Aud. D1 (lectures) and at the Steno Museum (reception).
