Aarhus University is home to several research communities that engage with, or contribute to, Science & Technology Studies (STS) and related fields, including science and research policy. This event aims to bring together three of these communities: the Centre for Science Studies (CSS in the NAT Faculty), the Danish Centre for Studies in Research and Research Policy (CFA in the BSS Faculty), and the Centre for Science-Technology-Society Studies (STS in the ARTS Faculty). While external and internal factors often lead us to collaborate with either close colleagues or those at other universities, this tends to leave nearby collaborators underexplored. In the spirit of fostering new connections and potential future collaborations, we warmly invite you to join us for a half-day gathering on November 27, 2024, from 12:00 to 17:00, graciously hosted by AIAS at Høegh Guldbergsgade 6B.
STS and related fields are known for their diversity, openness, and inclusivity, and we encourage the same spirit at this gathering. We recognize that each of us approaches science-related topics from different perspectives. The primary aim of this seminar is to come together to explore not only our commonalities but, importantly, our differences. We hope to expand our understanding through open, generous, and constructive dialogue.
